Elise Tosatti, MUP
Program Director
Elise Tosatti aims to advance compassionate, community-centered care through experiential learning, multidisciplinary collaborations, and participatory methods that strengthen capacities for healing and belonging. As the Academy’s Director, Elise oversees strategy, programming, and budget. Prior to joining CUNY SPS, Elise managed the implementation of Connections to Care (C2C), an NYC initiative that partnered community organizations and behavioral health providers to create more effective care paths through task sharing and other strategies.
Before work at CUNY SPS, NYC DOHMH, and the Mayor's Office for Economic Opportunity, Elise worked for 8 years in supportive housing programs that serve people who have experienced chronic homelessness. She draws from experience in harm reduction and housing first, public benefits advocacy, and integrated care. As a volunteer, she has supported LGBTQ+ survivors of violence and LGBTQ+ oral histories. She is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and a Level II Certified Compassion-Based Resilience Training (CBRT) Teacher through the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science. Elise holds a Master of Urban Planning from Hunter College.
