Johanna Xochicuāuhtli Guevara

Johanna Xochicuāuhtli Guevara is a multi-disciplinary healer and artist who bridges creativity with ancestral plant medicine. A last-generation Colombian who grew up under the 7 Train in Queens, Johanna was deeply influenced by her grandmothers—both of whom carried traditional knowledge of plants for everyday ailments. This early exposure to herbal wisdom, combined with her studies and lived experiences, inspired her to reclaim and share holistic wellness practices rooted in lineage.

After earning her BFA from Parsons School of Design, Johanna built a successful career in branding and design. Yet her healing journey deepened during her pregnancies, home births, and global travels, where she studied Ayurveda, Curanderismo, sacred plant medicine, Reiki, and energy healing with teachers from Brazil to New Mexico to Colombia. Johanna is also an accomplished Moon Dancer in Canada and New York and a Vision Quester in Colombia. Through these experiences, she founded Dropping Seeds, creating herbal blends and wellness tools to help people address imbalances of mind, body, and spirit.

Today, Johanna is a MWBE Certified Wellness Coach that weaves together her artistry and healing knowledge to guide others. Reconnect them to nature, mapping their wellness through the rhythms of the seasons, and embracing ancestral practices that nurture resilience, balance, and self-discovery.
